Cinnamon-Flavored Skewers with Fresh Fruit (Michael Chiarello)

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons cinnamon oil
2 cups each fruit of your choice, cut into 3/4-inch chunks ( apples, banana, pears, pineapple)
Directions:
1. 1 package (6-inch) wooden skewers
2. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 to 60 minutes. Dry them off with a towel.
3. Prepare a grill or broiler.
4. Lay out skewers on a plate and brush with cinnamon oil. Skewer a few pieces of fruit onto each skewer. Grill or broil fruit skewers for 30 seconds on each side.
5. Cook's Note: The skewers look great when served in a pineapple. Just lay a pineapple down on its side and stick the pointed end of the skewer into the top.
