Oh my! These are yummy! They are small, light and buttery with just the right amount of cinnamon. Great served as a tea cookie. They never last long and are super easy to make! Ingredients:
1 cup real butter, softened (no substitutes) |
1 cup powdered sugar |
1- 1/2 tsp saigon cinnamon |
1 tsp vanilla |
2- 1/4 cups flour |

nut topping |
walnuts (or your favorite nuts), finely chopped |
sugar |
cinnamon |
egg whites |
cinnamon & sugar |
powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Cream butter, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until light and fluffy 2. Gradually add flour until well combined 3. Roll into 1-inch balls 4. Bake at 400 degrees for about 10 - 12 minutes 5. Cool completely on cooling rack 6. TOPPINGS 7. Nut Topping 8. Lightly beat egg whites 9. Combine nuts, sugar, and cinnamon - mix well 10. Gradually add nut mixture to egg whites, mix until combined well 11. Roll unbaked cookie dough in nut mixture until coated 12. Bake as directed 13. Cinnamon & Sugar 14. Combine sugar and cinnamon - mix well 15. Roll unbaked cookie dough in cinnamon and sugar mixture until coated 16. Bake as directed 17. Powdered Sugar 18. Dust cooled cookies in powdered sugar before serving |
