A blend of two favorites. Ingredients:
3/4 cup baking cocoa |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
2/3 cup butter, melted |
1/2 cup boiling water |
2 cups sugar |
2 eggs, beaten |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 1/3 cups flour |
1 1/2-2 teaspoons cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips |
6 tablespoons butter, softened |
1/2 cup baking cocoa |
2 2/3 cups confectioners' sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon |
1/3 cup evaporated milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine cocoa and baking soda; blend in 1/3 cup melted butter. 2. Add boiling water, stirring until thickened. 3. Stir in sugar, eggs, vanilla, and remaining butter. 4. Add flour, cinnamon, and salt. 5. Fold in the chocolate chips. 6. Pour into a greased 13x9-inch baking pan. 7. Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. 8. For Frosting: Cream butter in a mixing bowl. 9. Combine cocoa, sugar, and cinnamon; add alternately with the milk. 10. Beat to a spreading consistency; add vanilla. 11. Add more milk if necessary. 12. Spread over brownies. |
