I haven't tried this yet. Putting it here for safekeeping. Ingredients:
1/2 cup oil |
2 cups sugar |
2 eggs |
2 cups buttermilk |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
4 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray two loaf pans with non-stick cooking spray. 2. Mix together oil, sugar, eggs, buttermilk, baking soda and flour in large bowl. Pour 1 cup of the batter into each prepared pan. 3. Combine sugar, cinnamon and salt in a small bowl. Sprinkle half the sugar mixture over each pan; pour remaining batter equally between pans. Sprinkle remaining sugar mixture over batter. 4. Using a knife, swirl through batter. Bake approximately 1 hour, or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes, then remove from pans and place on wire rack. Slice bread when completely cooled. |
