From Darlene Kossman. Has grated apple in the batter. It only makes 4 waffles so double the recipe; really good. Ingredients:
1 cup flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 tablespoon sugar |
2 eggs, separated |
1 cup milk |
4 tablespoons butter, melted |
1 cup apple, peeled, grated |
Directions:
1. Sift flour, salt, cinnamon, baking powder, and sugar together. 2. Separate eggs. 3. Beat egg yolks. 4. Add milk and melted butter. 5. Combine wet and dry ingredients. 6. Beat until smooth. 7. Add apples. 8. Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into batter. 9. Bake until done. |
