Cinnamon Apple Gelatin Salad |

This recipe has been served with our family's Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for as long as I can remember. It has a nice crunch and sweet-spicy flavor which perks up heavy winter meals. Ingredients:
1 (3 ounce) package cherry gelatin |
1 cup hot water |
1/4 cup red cinnamon candies |
1/2 cup boiling water |
1 cup apple, chopped |
1 cup celery, chopped |
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped |
1 cup frozen strawberries, thawed and drained |
Directions:
1. Dissolve gelatin in 1 cup hot water. 2. Add cinnamon candies to 1/2 cup boiling water; stir to dissolve. Add enough water to make 1 cup liquid. 3. When partially set, add the remaining ingredients. 4. Refrigerate until firm. Cooking time is refrigeration time. |
