I like this at least as much as apple pie. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.
Ingredients:
6 cooking apples, peeled and chopped
2 1/2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Directions:
1. put apples in a greased, 9 by 9 square pan
2. sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. mix thoroughly.
3. mix together butter, rolled oats, brown sugar and nuts.
4. sprinkle over apples.
5. bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until apples are completely cooked and topping golden brown.
