This came from Best Chili Recipes. I haven't tried this, saving for future use. Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef |
5 bay leaves |
40 whole allspice |
2 large onions, chopped |
1 garlic clove |
1 1/2 teaspoons vinegar |
8 ounces tomato sauce |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon red pepper |
1/4 cup chili powder |
2 dashes worcestershire sauce |
1 quart water |
Directions:
1. Brown and drain the beef. 2. Place spices in a tea bag or tea ball. 3. Combine all ingredients in a large pot. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 3 hours or cook in a pressure cooker 1 hour. 4. Serve over hot dogs with onions and cheddar cheese. |
