I got this recipe from my sister in law, I am not sure where she got the recipe. It is my new favorite recipe for dressing. It is especially good on a mexican taco salad type dish-my favorite includes shredded pork, black beans, tomatoes, lettuce and this dressing. Mmmmm... Serving size is a guess, since some people like to put a few tablespoons on their salad and some people like to put half a cup on. :) Should produce about 2 cups of dressing-I think. Ingredients:
1 (1/2 ounce) package ranch dressing mix (or whatever the reg. size is) |
1/3 cup buttermilk |
1 cup mayonnaise (or 1/2 cup mayo, 1/2 cup sour cream) |
1 cup fresh cilantro |
2 garlic cloves |
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
Directions:
1. Put all the ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. It is good right away, but it is excellent the longer it sits in the fridge to mingle flavors. |
