You can try this to help stave off a cold or to make yourself feel better if you already have one. That may or may not be an old wives’ tales but the toddy certainly tastes good! Ingredients:
7 1/2 g gingerroot |
1 glass cider |
twist lemon peel |
10 ml honey |
Directions:
1. Bruise the root ginger with a rolling pin, then heat it with the cider and lemon peel in a small pan until the liquid begins to bubble. 2. Take off the heat, stir in the honey and strain the liquid into a warmed glass or mug. |
