Spanish style funnel cake Ingredients:
1/2 cups canola oil, 1 to 1 1/2 inches of oil in pan |
1 cup water |
1/2 cup butter |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup whole wheat flour |
3 eggs |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Heat water, butter & salt and bring to a boil. 2. Stir in flour and mix well over heat until mix forms a ball and remove from heat. 3. Beat egss until smooth and add to flour mixture and blend well. 4. Heat oil in a pan to 360 F. 5. Spoon mix into cake decorator's tube & squeeze 4 strips of dough into hot oil until golden brown, turning once, about 2 minutes on each side. 6. Drain all cooked strips on paper towels, let cool and eat. |
