while i was looking for another recipe I came across this recipe from Nestle's... it sounds good and looked good so I thought I would post it... leave the nuts in larger pieces...I haven't made this but........it's definitely on my holiday cookie list Ingredients:
crust |
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened |
1/4 cup packed brown sugar |
filling |
3 eggs |
3/4 cup corn syrup |
3/4 cup granulated sugar |
2 tablespoons butter, melted |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1-3/4 cups (11.5-ounce package) nestlÉ® toll house® semi-sweet chocolate chunks |
1-1/2 cups coarsely chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Grease 13×9-inch baking pan 2. For Crust 3. BEAT flour, butter and brown sugar in small mixer bowl until crumbly 4. Press into prepared baking pan 5. BAKE for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned 6. ............................................................................................ 7. For Filling 8. BEAT eggs, corn syrup, granulated sugar, butter and vanilla extract in medium bowl with wire whisk 9. Stir in chunks and nuts 10. Pour evenly over baked crust 11. BAKE for 25 to 30 minutes or until set 12. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars 13. Makes 2 to 3 dozen bars |
