Ingredients:
3 1/2 pounds whole chicken |
2 cups celery ; chopped |
1 teaspoon celery seed ; (optional) |
1 pound baby carrots |
1 cup onion ; chopped |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
salt and pepper |
1/4 cup chicken soup base with fat |
1 tablespoon parsley |
Directions:
1. In a large pot with enough water to cover chicken, boil whole chicken in pot for about 1 hour. 2. Remove chicken and allow to cool. 3. Debone and cut into bite size pieces, return to juice, then add rest of ingredients. 4. Bring to a boil, and reduce heat to medium low for 2 hours, or until carrots and celery are soft. 5. Cook noodles separate and place in bowl pour soup over. |
