From Cooking Light Ingredients:
1/2 cup apple cider |
2 lbs granny smith apples, peeled, cored, and chopped |
1 cup packed brown sugar |
1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger |
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom |
1 dash ground cloves |
1 dash fresh ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Combine cider and apples in a large saucepan; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. 2. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until apples are tender, stirring occasionally. 3. Stir in sugar and remaining ingredients; simmer 12 minutes, stirring occasionally until mixture is thick. Cover and chill. |
