Yummy crescent rolls in the shape of a christmas tree make an impressive addition to a special brunch without a lot of fuss. Ingredients:
1 tube(8oz)crescent dinner rolls |
1tbs butter,softened |
2tbs sugar |
1/2tsp ground cinnamon |
3/4c confectioners sugar |
2 to 3 tbs milk |
red and/or green candied cherries |
Directions:
1. Unroll crescent dough into a rectangle. Press seams and perforations to seal;roll lightly with rolling pin. Spread butter over dough. Combine sugar and cinnamon;sprinkle over butter.Roll up jelly -roll style,starting with long side.Seal edge. Cut into 22 slices. 2. To form tree,place slices on greased baking sheet with sides touching and cut side up. Place 1 slice in the top row and 2 slices in second row. Repeat with remaining rolls,adding 1 slice per row until tree has 6 rows. Center 1 remaining slice under the last row for a trunk. 3. Bake at 350 for 16-20 mins or till golden brown. Remove to wire rack. Combine confectioners' sugar and milk;drizzle over warm rolls. Decorate with cherries if desired |
