I assemble this casserole on Christmas eve, put in in the fridge and then bake for an hour at 325 on Christmas morning. It's easy and yummy! Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
4 cups broccoli florets |
6 slices white bread |
12 eggs |
2 cups milk, low fat |
2 cups cheddar cheese, low fat, shredded |
salt |
pepper |
Directions:
1. Spray a 13x9 baking pan with cooking spray. 2. Brown the ground beef and steam the broccoli. 3. Line the baking pan with the slices of bread. 4. Whisk together the eggs and milk. 5. Crumble the cooked beef over the bread. Add the broccoli and the shredded cheese. 6. Pour the egg/milk mixture over all. 7. Place in the refrigerator for 12 hours. 8. Preheat the oven to 325°F Bake for 1 hour, or until eggs are set and the top of the casserole is light brown. |
