Christmas Mincemeat Pie

Mike mentioned that we didn't get our traditional pumpkin or mincemeat pies at Thanksgiving. I told him Pumpkin is Thanksgiving, mincemeat is Christmas... That's the way Grandma Drummond always served them.
Ingredients:
1 package of none such condensed mincemeat
1/3 cup cherry flavored crasins or dried cherries
1 3/4 cup dark cherry and concord grape juice
1 deep dish pie shell with top crust
2 tbs turbinado sugar
Directions:
1. Combine mincemeat, crasins and juice in a small sauce pan.
2. Bring to a boil and then simmer on very low for about 20 min until all the mincemeat is reconstituted.
3. Pour fruit into a prepared pie crust and cover with top crust.
4. cut sun burst slits in the top crust and sprinkle with the sugar
5. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes.
6. Serve warm with whipped cream
