Classic Christmas morning dish. Should be made the night before for a quick breakfast the next day. Ingredients:
8 slices white bread, cubed |
1 lb turkey sausage |
10 eggs |
1 cup milk |
1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded |
2 teaspoons dry mustard |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. Butter 9x13 casserole dish and place bread on bottom. 2. Brown ground turkey over medium heat, drain excess fat and layer over bread. 3. Combine eggs, milk, cheese, dry mustard, salt and pepper in bowl, whisk to combine. 4. Pour egg mixture over bread and sausage, making sure all the bread is covered. 5. Refrigerate overnight for best results (bread soaks up more flavor). 6. Cover with tin foil and bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. 7. Uncover and bake another 15 or until cheese is golden and bubbly. |
