This quick and easy breakfast offers health benefits from the blueberries' antioxidants, the oat bran's fiber and the calcium from low-fat milk and yogurt. The recipe is from Lance Armstrong's personal coach. A lot of your body's stored carbohydrates are burned while sleeping, and that is energy the brain needs to have a productive morning...so drink up! Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups low-fat milk |
2 1/2 cups plain fat-free yogurt |
1 cup fresh blueberries (or 3/4 cup frozen) |
4 tablespoons oat bran |
3 tablespoons almond butter |
5 tablespoons apricot preserves |
3 tablespoons honey |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. |
