Chokecherry Pie

From the Colorado State Forestry Service. Chilling time not included in preparation time.
Ingredients:
2 cups chokecherry juice
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup sugar
1 pinch salt
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 9 in.baked pastry shell
Directions:
1. Combine first five ingredients in saucepan.
2. Cook ingredients until thick, stirring constantly to avoid scorching.
3. Cool.
4. Pour into pie shell and place in refrigerator until thoroughly chilled.
5. Serve with whipped cream or cream topping.
