Chocolate With Caramel Chips

A heavy, rich yet smooth cheesecake. Little pockets of soft caramel make some surprises.
Ingredients:
crust
2 cups nabisco famous choc. wafers, crushed
1/4 cup sugar
4 tbsp. butter, softened
filling
1 1/2 pounds philly cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3 large eggs
10 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted and cooled
1 tea. vanilla extract
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup kraft caramel chips
Directions:
1. Crust:
2. Combine all ingredients
3. Butter sides and bottom of 10 spring-pan.
4. Press crumbs unto sides and bottom of pan.
5. Set in fridge.
6. Filling:
7. Blend cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
8. Add eggs one at a time.
9. Fold in melted chocolate.
10. Add vanilla and cream, mixing thoroughly.
11. Fold in caramel chips.
12. Pour into prepared pan.
13. Bake at 350^ for 55-65 minutes, until sides are firm.
14. Let cool and refridgerate before serving
