Chocolate Walnuts Brownies |

Makes( 18 slices,depending on the size you cut). Ingredients:
4 1/2 oz cooking chocolate |
125 gm / 4 oz butter |
1/2 cup caster sugar |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
2 eggs |
1 tsp vanilla essence |
1 tbsp golden syrup |
5 oz plain flour |
1/4 tsp baking powder |
1 tbsp cocoa powder |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 180 C.Grease and line 10 x 7 inch baking pan. 2. Micorwave chocolate and butter in a bowl until butter is melted.Stir until chocolate is completely melted. 3. Stir the sugars into melted chocolate mixture.Leave to cool at room temperature. 4. Sift the flour,baking powder and cocoa in a bowl.Set aside. 5. In a large bowl,beat eggs and vanilla on high speed for 2-3 minutes. 6. Add chocolate mixture and golden syrup.Beat until well blended and thick. 7. Fold in the flour mixture until just incorporated (do not over mix). 8. Pour batter into prepared pan.Sprinkle with walnuts. 9. Bake for 35 - 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out with fudgy crumbs. 10. Cool in pan and then cut into squares. |
