These taste a bit like brownies. The original recipe called for a cup of coconut, but I don't care for it so make them this way Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1/2 cup milk |
1/2 cup butter |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
3 cups quick cooking oats |
1/ 2 cup white chocolate chips |
1/2 cup chocolate chips |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Combine first four ingredients in saucepan; bring to a full rolling boil. Combine remaining ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Remove sugar mixture from heat; pour over ingredients in bowl. Stir until chocolate chips are melted and all is well mixed. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let set until firm. |
