Ingredients:
2/3 cup butter, softened (no substitutions) |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed |
1/4 cup milk |
1 egg |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
3/4 cup baking cocoa |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. In a bowl, cream butter and sugars, add milk and egg. 2. Mix well. 3. Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl, and gradually add to the creamed mixture. 4. Mix well. 5. Cover and let chill until firm, or about two hours. 6. Rolled chilled dough on a floured surface until about 1/8 inch thick. 7. Cut with a 1 1/2 cookie cutter. 8. Place 1 inch apart on a greased baking sheet. 9. Bake at 375° for 5- 6 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. 10. Let cool on wire racks. |
