These are really easy but your guests will feel very special if you serve these after dinner. You can add other flavors to the truffles - try chopped walnuts, dried apricots or raisins and a splash of vanilla or rum. Ingredients:
4 ounces dark chocolate or 4 ounces milk chocolate |
4 1/2 tablespoons condensed milk |
4 ounces cake crumbs |
2 ounces ground almonds |
4 ounces confectioners' sugar |
cocoa or confectioners' sugar, for dusting |
Directions:
1. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water. 2. Once melted, add the remaining ingredients. 3. Roll into walnut sized balls with your hands and put into the fridge on a plate to chill and set. 4. Once set, roll in cocoa powder or confectioners sugar. 5. They will keep in the fridge for up to 1 week. |
