Chocolate Syrup Bundt Cake |

Moist chocolate cake using chocolate syrup along with buttermilk in recipe. Ingredients:
3 cups flour |
1/2 tsp baking soda |
1/2 tsp baking powder |
2 3/4 cups sugar |
1/2 cup oil |
5 eggs |
1 cup buttermilk |
2/3 cup chocolate syrup |
1 tsp vanilla |
chocolate buttercream drizzle recipe ( see below ) |
2 tbs chocolate syrup |
buttercream drizzle |
3 tbs softened butter |
1 1/2 cups powdered sufgar |
1/2 tsp vanilla |
2 tbs chocolate syrup |
milk if needed |
Directions:
1. Sift together dry ingredients and set aside. 2. In another bowl, beat sugar and oil till well blended and add eggs, one at a time 3. Alternating , beat in flour with buttermilk. 4. Blend in chocolate syrup and vanilla. 5. Pour batter into a greased and floured 10 inch bundt pan. 6. Bake in a preheated 325F oven about 90 minutes or cake tested done in center with toothpick. 7. Cool on rack 15 minutes. 8. Remove from pan and completely cool. 9. Drizzle with chocolate buttercream and just before serving drizzle with the chocolate syrup. 10. Buttercream: 11. Beat butter with 1/2 cup powdred sugar. 12. Beat in the syrup, and vanilla and then beat in 3/4 cup powdered sugar. 13. If too thick, thin with some milk umtil mixture drapes off spoon. |
