From the Favorite Recipes cookbook of my church, Christ the King Lutheran Church of Mankato, MN. Ingredients:
1 cup flour |
1 cup sugar |
1 (16 ounce) can chocolate syrup |
1/2 cup butter, melted |
4 eggs, well beaten |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup walnuts (optional) |
6 tablespoons butter |
6 tablespoons milk |
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar |
1/2 cup chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar. 2. Add eggs and syrup. 3. Mix in flour, nuts and vanilla. 4. Pour into greased 9x13 pan. 5. Bake 25 to 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven. 6. For frosting, combine butter, milk and sugar in saucepan. 7. Boil 30 seconds only. 8. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips. 9. Beat (by hand) until creamy and spread on brownies. |
