This is a very sweet lovely cookie that is just a delight to have for those tea and coffee get togethers!! Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups butter, room temperature |
1 cup sugar |
2/3 cup brown sugar |
2 large eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
2 1/2 cups flour |
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 2. In large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla. 3. Sift together flour, cocoa, soda and salt. Add flour mixture gradually to butter mixture and beat just until blended. 4. Shape dough into small log and place in cookie press. Press cookies onto cool ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10 minutes. Remove from sheet and cool. 5. Store in airtight container at room temperature for several days or freeze for up to 2 months. |
