I had very little time to come with a recipe for todays party and since Im hooked to Angie's cake base , I decided to try dis out .... Ingredients:
4 l egg whites |
1/2 tsp salt |
100g caster sugar |
125 g olive margarine |
4 l egg yolks |
1 tsp vanilla essence |
200 g self raising flour |
1/2 tsp baking pwd and baking soda - sifted |
1 c water with mango ( essence) fruit drink base |
3 tbsp chocolate syrup |

2 tbsp cream cheese |
1 tbsp mango ( essence ) fruit drink base |
ganache |
150 g baking chocolate |
3/4 c heavy cream |
chocolate shavings |
dragees gold |
Directions:
1. Pre heat the oven at 200 deg C . 2. Grease and line 2 round pans . 3. Beat egg whites with salt until stiff peak form and set aside . 4. Beat the sugar and margarine until creamy . 5. Now add the yolks and essence until it mix well . 6. Add half of the dry ing along with half of the juice . 7. Beat 30 secs . 8. Add the rest of the dry ing and juice . 9. Mix the syrup in . 10. Fold in the egg whites . 11. Pour in the tin and bake for 20 mins . 12. Mix the filling and soread on top of a layer . 13. Keep the other layer on top . 14. Microwave the cream and add the chocolate . 15. Beat it after 5 mins and pour over the cake evenly . 16. Now decorate and chill until ready to serve . |
