A dainty cookie to grace any tea table or holiday tray. Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened |
2/3 cup powdered sugar |
2 tablespoons cocoa |
1 1/2 cups sifted flour |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional) |

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. With an electric beater, cream together butter, sugar, and cocoa. 3. Beat in flour, then vanilla and nuts. 4. Form into 1 inch balls (the dough will be rather soft), and bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 15 minutes. 5. Sift powdered sugar over cookies when cool. 6. Yield: 4 dozen |
