I love chocolate! I found this recipe in an old issue of Southern Living. This recipe is simple and delicious! Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups butter |
2/3 cup granulated sugar |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup cocoa |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup unsalted peanuts, chopped |
powdered sugar, sifted, to garnish |
Directions:
1. Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. 2. Gradually add sugar and vanilla, beating well. 3. Combine flour, cocoa, salt, and peanuts; gradually add to butter mixture until blended. 4. Portion dough by teaspoonfuls; roll into balls. 5. Place balls on ungreased baking sheets. 6. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-10 minutes. 7. Roll warm cookies in sifted powered sugar. |
