CHOCOLATE SNICKERDOODLES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Boswell Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1984. Ingredients:
1 cup butter softened |
3/4 cup brown sugar |
3/4 cup granulated sugar |
2 eggs |
2 cups rolled oats |
1-1/2 cups flour |
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons cocoa |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
2 tablespoons granulated sugar |
2 tablespoons cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 then lightly grease a cookie sheet. 2. Beat butter and sugars until fluffy then add eggs and beat well. 3. Combine dray ingredients then add to creamed mixture mixing well. 4. Chill dough a few hours then roll in 2 tablespoons cocoa, sugar and cinnamon mixture. 5. Place on cookie sheet 2 apart then bake 10 minutes and cool on racks. |
