No one will believe this silky, delicious pie includes healthful tofu! It is really luscious. I use MORI-NU brand of tofu and it seems to work best. Ingredients:
1 (12 ounce) package chocolate chips |
1/3 cup maple syrup |
1 package firm tofu |
1 package extra firm tofu |
1 prepared graham cracker crusts or 1 chocolate graham wafer pie crust |
whipped cream or 1 fresh raspberry sauce or 1 strawberry sauce (or both sauce and whipped cream!) (optional) |
Directions:
1. Melt chips with syrup over very low heaat, stirring frequently, until smooth. 2. In food processor, blend both packages of tofu until smooth. 3. With processor running on low, slowly pour in the chip mixture. 4. Blend until smooth. 5. Pour into crust; chill for at least two hours or overnight. 6. Spoon some raspberry or strawberry sauce onto a dessert plate; place a slice of pie on the plate and top with whipped cream, if desired. |
