A lady I use to work use to make this all the time and bring t in and everyone enjoyed it. Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups butter, divided |
1 cup water |
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa, divided |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 1/2 cups firmly packed light brown sugar |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk, divided |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 cup powdered sugar |
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In small saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 cup butter, stir in water and 1/4 cup cocoa. Bring to a boil, remove from heat. 2. In large mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking sida, cinnamon and salt. Add cocoa mixture, beat well. Stir in 1/3 cup condensed milk, eggs and vanilla. Pour into greased 15 x 10 x 1 inch jelly-roll pan. Bake 15 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched. 3. In small saucepan over medium heat, melt remaining 1/4 cup butter, add remaining 1/4 cup cocoa and remaining condensed milk. Stir in powered sugar and nuts. Spread over warm cake. |
