Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour |
2 cups sugar |
1 cup water |
1/2 cup butter or margarine |
1/2 cup shortening |
1/4 cup cocoa |
1/2 cup buttermilk |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
chocolate-peanut frosting |
Directions:
1. Combine flour and sugar in a large mixing bowl; set aside. 2. Combine water, butter, shortening, and cocoa in a heavy saucepan; bring to a boil. Pour chocolate mixture over flour mixture; blend well. Add next 5 ingredients; mix well. 3. Pour batter into a lightly greased 13- x 9- x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 400° for 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Spread Chocolate- Peanut Frosting over cake. |
