Chocolate Sheath Cake. Ingredients:
2 c. flour |
2 c. sugar |
1 tsp. soda |
1 tsp. cinnamon |
1 c. water |
1 stick margarine |
1/2 c. all vegetable oil |
4 tbsps. cocoa |
1/2 c. buttermilk |
2 eggs slightly beaten |
1 tsp. vanilla |
Directions:
1. Sift together the sugar, flour, soda and cinnamon, set aside. 2. In a sauce pan place the water , margarine, oil and cocoa. 3. Bring to a boil and pour over dry ingredients, mixing well. 4. Set aside. 5. Mix together the buttermilk, eggs and vanilla; add to chocolate batter. 6. Pour batter into 13 x 9 x 2 pan. 7. Bake 400 degrees for 20 minutes. 8. Start chocolate icing about 5 minutes before cake isn done and ice cake immediately in pan. |
