A wonderful moist and yummy cake! Kind of like a really soft brownie. Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
2 cups sugar |
1 cup water |
3 1/2 tablespoons cocoa |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1 cup butter |
1/2 cup buttermilk |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 eggs |
1/2 cup butter |
3 1/2 tablespoons cocoa |
3 tablespoons milk |
2 cups powdered sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. For cake: Mix flour and sugar together in a large mixing bowl. 2. In saucepan mix water, cocoa, salt, and butter. 3. Bring to a boil. 4. Pour over flour and sugar. 5. Add buttermilk, eggs, soda, and vanilla. 6. Mix until blended. 7. Pour into large greased cookie sheet. 8. Bake in 375° oven for 20 minutes. 9. For icing: While cake is cooking bring butter, cocoa, and milk to a boil in a small saucepan. 10. Remove from heat; add sugar& vanilla. 11. Spread on HOT out of the oven cake. |
