Be your own judge on prep time and cook time. Ingredients:
1 (6-ounce) package semisweet chocolate morsels |
1/4 cup butter or margarine |
1 cup sifted powdered sugar |
dash of salt |
1/2 cup light corn syrup |
1/4 cup hot water |
1/4 cup creme de cacao liqueur |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
pound cake or ice cream |
Directions:
1. Combine chocolate morsels, butter, sugar, salt, corn syrup, and water in a heavy saucepan. 2. Place over low heat; stir until chocolate melts. 3. Remove from heat, and add liqueur and vanilla. 4. Serve immediately, or pour hot mixture into hot, sterilized half-pint jars. 5. Cool and store in refrigerator. 6. Serve over pound cake or ice cream. 7. Yield: about 2 cups. |
