I love the combination of raspberry jam and chocolate and this is a perfect bar type cookie for a party cookie plate. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
1/2 tsp. vanilla |
1 cup flour |
a pinch of salt |
1/4 tsp. baking powder |
3/4 cup seedless raspberry jam |
1-1/2 cups chocolate chips |
1 cup flour |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/3 cup softened butter |
1 cup chopped walnuts |
1/2 tsp. vanilla |
Directions:
1. Blend butter, sugar, vanilla, flour, salt and baking powder until crumbly. 2. Press into a greased 7x11 inch pan. 3. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. 4. Remove from oven and spread with raspberry jam. 5. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. 6. Make crumb topping by mixing 1 cup of flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, soft butter, walnuts and vanilla. 7. Pour topping over chocolate chips. 8. Return to oven for 15 to 20 minutes. 9. Allow to cool and cut. |
