I haven't made this myself, but my mom used to make this in both chocolate and lemon versions when I was a kid. As it bakes, a crust forms on top, and the bottom becomes pudding. Ingredients:
1 cup butter, melted |
4 eggs |
2 cups sugar |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/4 cup pecans |
2 tablespoons cocoa |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 2. Beat together butter, sugar, vanilla, and cocoa. Beat in eggs, then sugar, then sifted flour. 3. Pour into ungreased 8x8-inch baking pan. Place pan inside a larger pan of water. 4. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired. |
