From St. John's Cookbook 2004 (Fox Lake, WI) Ingredients:
6 tablespoons butter or 6 tablespoons margarine, softened |
2/3 cup sugar |
2 eggs |
1/4 cup milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup flour |
1 (3 3/4 ounce) package chocolate pudding mix |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup nuts, chopped |
powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. Cream butter and sugar. 3. Blend in eggs, milk, and vanilla. 4. Stir together flour, pudding mix, baking powder, and salt. 5. Add to creamed mixture; mix well. 6. Stir in nuts. 7. Spread in greased 9 X 9 X 2-inch baking pan. 8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. 9. Cool. 10. Sift powdered sugar over top, if desired. |
