Ingredients:
3 cup(s) sugar |
1 cup(s) butter, softened |
3 eggs |
1 3/4 cup(s) milk or half-n-half |
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla |
3 cup(s) flour |
1 cup(s) cocoa |
3 teaspoon(s) baking powder |
1 teaspoon(s) salt |
ice cream (optional) |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour pan. In large mixer bowl, mix sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla, mix well. Mix in all remaining ingredients; mix well. Spoon into a prepared pan, filling 3/4 full. Bake at 80-90 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack. If desired. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with ice cream. |
