This recipe is from Philadelphia Cream Cheese and was introduced in 1951. apparently its still requested all the time and it is good, easy and fudgy!!! Ingredients:
4 cups sifted confectioner's sugar |
1 8oz. package philadelphia cream cheese |
4 1 oz. squares of unsweetened chocolate |
1 tsp vanilla |
dash of salt |
1/2 c. chopped nuts |
Directions:
1. Melt chocolate either in double boiler or microwave,, cool slightly. 2. Gradually add sugar to softened cream cheese , mixing well until blended. 3. Stir in remaining ingredients. 4. Spread in a greased 8 inch square pan 5. Chill several hours or overnight 6. Makes 1 3/4 lb. |
