Didi Mercier's recipe Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
8 ounces butter, melted |
8 ounces chocolate chips |
3 cups pecans, chopped |
1 cup dark corn syrup |
1/2 cup sugar |
3 eggs |
1 1/2 tablespoons flour |
1 tablespoon butter |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1 pinch salt |
Directions:
1. Crust. 2. Mix flour, sugar and melted butter together and press into a 12 inch tart shell. 3. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown, about 15 minutes. 4. Filling. 5. When you take the crust out of oven sprinkle the chips inside. Let chocolate melt and spread evenly over the crust. Top with pecans. 6. Lower oven temp to 300 degrees. 7. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over the pecans in the crust. 8. Bake for about 20 minutes or until the filling is set. 9. Cool. |
