This pecan pie is one my family always requests to go along with the pumpkin on Thanksgiving. Ingredients:
1 unbaked 9 inch pie crust |
4 oz. semisweet chocolate (i use ghiradelli) |
2 tbs. butter |
3 eggs |
1/3 cup sugar |
1 cup corn syrup (light or dark, i use light) |
1 tsp. vanilla extract |
1 1/4 cup pecan halves |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 2. In double boiler melt chocolate and butter, let cool slightly 3. Beat eggs lightly in mixer. 4. Add sugar, corn syrup, and chocolate mix, mix well. 5. Add pecans and fold in 6. Pour mixture into pie crust 7. Bake 50 to 55 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean |
