This recipe came from one of my cookbooks. Chocolate covered peanut butter sitting on a salty pretzel. Resistance is futile. Ingredients:
1 cup peanut butter |
1/2 cup butter-softened |
3 cups confectioners' sugar |
60 miniature pretzels(about 3 cups) |
1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips |
1 tablespoon shortening |
Directions:
1. In a small mixing bowl,beat peanut butter and butter until smooth. 2. Beat in confectioners' sugar until combined. 3. Shape into 1 balls. Press on each pretzel. 4. Place on waxed paper lined baking sheets. Refrigerate until peanut butter is set. 5. In a microwave safe bowl or heavy saucepan,melt chocolate chips and shortening,stirring until smooth. 6. Dip peanut butter balls into chocolate. Return to baking sheet. pretzel side down. 7. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving. 8. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. |
