Want to impress somebody with a great creamy, chocolatey, nutty dessert, this is the one. Ingredients:
2 cups confectioners' sugar |
12 ounces evaporated milk |
1 cup butter divided |
2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips |
14 ounce cream filled chocolate sandwich cookies |
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream softened |
1-1/2 cups salted peanuts coarsely chopped |
Directions:
1. In large saucepan combine confectioners' sugar, milk, 1/2 cup butter and chocolate chips. 2. Bring to a boil stirring constantly then cook and stir 8 minutes or until slightly thickened. 3. Refrigerate until cool. 4. Meanwhile in a food processor or blender cover and process cookies until finely crushed. 5. In large bowl melt remaining butter then stir in crushed cookies. 6. Press into a rectangular baking dish then refrigerate until firm. 7. Spread ice cream over crust then freeze. 8. Stir peanuts into chilled chocolate mixture then spread over ice cream. 9. Cover and freeze 4 hours then remove from freezer 5 minutes before serving. |
