This is a fantastic truffle recipe that can be made for any type of showers, weddings, etc... Use your imagination and decorate any way you like. Listed are just a few of my favorites. My kids and grandkids enjoy using the candies that can usually be found at your local grocery store. Ingredients:
8 (1 ounce) squares semi-sweet baking chocolate |
1/2 cup peanut butter |
1 (8 ounce) tub cool whip, thawed |
*suggested coatings, such as powdered sugar, unsweetened cocoa, finely chopped peanuts, multi-colored sprinkles, coconut, finely crushed cookies or semi-sweet baking chocolate |
Directions:
1. Microwave chocolate in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until chocolate is almost melted, stirring every 30 sec. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. 2. Add peanut butter; stir until well blended. 3. Cool to room temperature. Gently stir in whipped topping. Refrigerate 2 hours. 4. Scoop truffle mixture with melon baller or teaspoon, then roll into 1-inch balls. 5. Roll in suggested coatings. 6. Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator. |
