1 cup confectioners’ sugar |
1/4 cup peanut butter |
1 9 inch pie shell, baked |

1 cup sugar |
1/3 cup flour |
2 tbsp cocoa |
1/4 tsp salt |
2 cups milk |
3 egg yolks, beaten |
2 tbsp butter |
1 tsp vanilla |
Directions:
1. Combine confectioners’ sugar with peanut butter, mix until crumbly. Pat in bottom of baked pie shell reserving a small amount for garnish. Pour chocolate filling over peanut butter mixture. When completely cooled, top with whipped cream. Garnish with remaining peanut butter mixture and chocolate chips. 2. Chocolate filling: In heavy saucepan, combine sugar, flour, salt and cocoa. Slowly add milk. Cook over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Reduce heat. Cook and stir 2 minutes (longer if needed). Beat egg yolks slightly. Gradually stir 1 cup of the hot mixture into egg yolks. Return egg mixture to saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil. Cook and stir 2 minutes more. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla. |
