CHOCOLATE PANCAKES This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Marcello Estate in Denton, Texas in 1984. Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/3 cup sugar |
2 eggs |
2 tablespoons butter melted |
1-1/2 cups buttermilk |
1 square melted unsweetened chocolate |
Directions:
1. Mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. 2. In a small bowl beat eggs, milk and butter then add to flour mixture then stir in chocolate. 3. Allow to stand 5 minutes then pour by spoonfuls onto hot lightly greased griddle. 4. Cook until bubbles break on top then turn and cook until underside is golden. |
